I don’t want to live this way
And I don’t have to
But I’ve gotten carried away
By the things that try to carry me off
And if I were a statue I would
Dissolve away into the rain
Subvert the need for permanence
And do so with certainty
All the pretty choices that we make
Are coming home to rest
I don’t want to live this way
And I don’t have to, I know
But I don’t want to know more
Than I already do
And if I were lost in a snowstorm
I would freeze all the way through
Eliminate the need to thaw
Or wait for the clouds to break
All the pretty choices that we make
Are coming home to rest

To Be United After Death
03:14
|

Admittedly I have my fair share of delusions
That I use to prop my head up
And truthfully, I am insignificant
Just another speck that expects to be swept out eventually
Onmoretry onemoretry
To be united after death
To make the same mistakes again
And to be left wanting for breath
Like it is something I have left
Like it is something
And honestly, I have never felt more challenged
By my existential right to exist here
And thankfully, there is no one pushing harder
Than me to take my spot that I would willingly
Give (onemoretry onemoretry)
To be united after death (onemoretry onemoretry)
To make the same mistakes again (onemoretry onemoretry)
And to be left wanting for breath (onemoretry onemoretry)
Like it is something I have left
Like it is something
